Safeguarding at Courtney

At Courtney Primary, we are committed to creating, promoting and regularly updating all of our policies and procedures which contribute to ensuring each and every one of our children is, and feels, safe at school.Our main policy is our Child Protection Policy which underpins all of our routines including:
  • procedures for reporting and recording Child Protection;
  • the adoption of Safer Recruitment systems with the maintenance of an accurate and complete Single Central Record; a commitment to training and induction for all staff and visitors when appropriate;
  • an outline of our curriculum and how it supports children to keep safe;
  • and an outline of how our Behaviour Policy supports Child Protection.
Our Whistleblowing Policy empowers every adult working in school to be able to report anything that is a cause for concern to a person they feel confident will deal with the information appropriately.
